Golden Gate Bridge… a bridge of beauty!

A trip to San Francisco is always a good time! Like I’ve said in previous posts, we were hooked and went year after year. Then decided to do West coast one year and East coast the next. So we went to Maine, and haven’t been back to SF. But we need to. I’m really wanting to go back. I LOVE the weather there, I love how you can walk or hop on public transportation and be swept away only to arrive at your destination a few minutes later. So much better than driving! Great food, great experiences, wonderful wine, and we always meet new people. Need to get back, it’s on “the list”!

Enjoy your day! Until next time…

Unique design style… Taco Boy, Charleston, SC

We have the coolest restaurants in Charleston. Each with their own ambiance, one so different from the next. I prefer the casual more eclectic places and Taco Boy hits the nail on the head. There are so many interesting things to see while dining there! What a fun job to colect this stuff! Love their light fixtures, so unique.

If you get a chance, pop into Taco Boy, it will become a habit!!

The beauty of an old wooden boat… think this one is a Chris Craft…

While in Michigan several weeks ago we went to a wooden boat show in town… some beauties I’m telling ya! From what I hear wooden boats are a lot of work, but whoa, when one passes by while we’re sitting on the porch looking over the river it is a sight to behold. Chris Craft used to build boats in Algonac, MI… I THINK this was a Chris Craft, that’s what most of them were, and I have forgotten the other type that we saw… all gorgeous! I admire anyone who takes the time keeping these boats looking as pristine as they do!

We woke to a very foggy morning in Michigan several weeks ago, so we took that opportunity to take Charlie for a walk before it warmed up. Charlie hates heat. I hate heat. It’s not nice to hate. But heat is evil… Like one newspaper here in Charleston said today… “Cook out today – you may not need a grill”, ha ha… so true, heat index 115 today. Lovely. But I digress… back to the story… when we looked out over the river it was a thick blanket of fog, very mysterious. Fog horns blaring (LOVE that sound!)… we headed “up town”. Our daily walk was underway, which included a stop at the boat landing in town so Charlie could cool off and play in what usually are waves from passing boats. This time, no waves, but a sea of calm… it was beautiful, like glass… I wish I would have taken my camera, but this photo was taken with my phone… Next time Barbara, BRING THE CAMERA, ugh…

Have a good day! Until next time…

Stormy skies and a pretty flower…

As I write this post it is raining and dreary outside… don’t get me wrong, I’m not unhappy about it… I LOVE DREARY GRAY SKIES… and we desperately need more rain, so this is making me do a happy dance! But for those of you who get down when the sun hides beneath the clouds, here’s something to brighten your day…
